Using gloji LOSE weight on your phone
Yes! You can use gloji on any device, but we’re especially designed for mobile so you’ll get the best experience on your phone.
No, we don’t have an app, but you can use gloji on any device – tablet, smartphone, laptop, computer.
You can bookmark gloji so you can find it quickly and easily and open it right from your mobile’s home screen where you’ll find it alongside all your other apps. Just sign in and we’ll show you how in How to find gloji fast on your mobile.
Signing up to gloji lose weight
First step is to check you’re eligible for the programme, which you can do quickly and easily by clicking Sign up and answering a couple of questions. If your health care professional has recommended gloji, they’ll have already checked you’re eligible.
You then create your account. Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through verifying your email then help you build your profile by asking a few questions. Some of the questions are for our reporting so we can keep on supporting people for free and improving the programme. Some are pretty personal about your health and that’s because this is your journey and we want to make this all about you.
That’s it. As soon as you’ve created your account you can start using gloji.

Our places are paid for by local councils and the rules around who can join us vary a little based on criteria like where you live or work and your BMI.
As part of setting up your account we’ll ask you to verify your email and you can do this by heading to the inbox of the email you gave us when you asked to sign up to gloji. If you can’t find it, check your junk folder, or ask us to send another email by clicking the ‘resend link’ button. Once you’ve got the email, all you need to do is click the ‘verify your email’ button and we’ll carry on setting up your gloji account.

To help keep your gloji account secure, we’ve got some requirements when it comes to setting passwords. Make sure you include:
– At least 8 characters
– At least 1 uppercase character
– At least 1 lowercase character
– At least 1 special character (E.g. ?!&@£)
Click ‘Sign in’ and you’ll find a ‘Forgot your password’ button right above the button to sign in. Click on it and follow the steps to set yourself a new password.
The gloji lose weight programme
Gloji is a 12-week digital weight loss programme where you’ll discover how one area of your life impacts another and how small and manageable changes make it possible to achieve big ambitions. We’ll empower you to make lifestyle choices that add up to permanent weight loss.
Each week you’ll sign in and unlock interactive videos. Watch them, jot down the answers to a few questions along the way and you’ll be guided by our experts to look more closely at your nutrition, sleep, alcohol, mind and movement. We’ll help you discover more about yourself and how your habits and behaviour can be the secret to making healthy, sustainable changes.
While you’re with us for your 12-week programme, sign in each week to unlock interactive videos that will guide you on your path to losing weight and improving your wellbeing.
To really get the most out of your time with gloji, each week, as well as watching the interactive videos, you can also:
- Log your weight. We don’t think it’s the only measure of success, but it can help you see your overall path, which can motivate you and confirm you’re on the right track.
- Use your gloji journal to keep track of your progress and jot down your thoughts.
- Read a few (or as many as you like) of our articles, tips and guides.
- Try some of our simple, healthy recipes.
We’re different! We won’t give you a set meal plan to follow. We know that losing weight and improving your health is only truly useful if you can maintain it for good. Who wants to follow a set meal plan for the rest of their life? And how can it suit everyone’s individual tastes? We know the best way to see results is to change your ways, behaviours and habits one step at a time, until each little change adds up to one big result.
We never ask you to cut out entire food groups or ban certain foods. Instead, we teach you which foods can nourish and energise you as well as helping you understand more about moderation and balance. We’ll give you our guide to help you change the way you eat, Eating with gloji, where you’ll find all the info you’ll need to get started as well as lots of simple, easy-to-make, healthy recipes.
Our gloji recipes can be found on the explore section once you sign in. Once you sign up to gloji we’ll also send you an email with a link to download our ‘Eating with gloji’ PDF that you can keep for good, you can also download this following this link: Eating with gloji – but you’ll need to sign in first.
Absolutely! You can join our private member Facebook group where you can ask questions anytime and other gloji members or our gloji health mentors will be on hand to guide and support you.
Also, when you sign up to gloji we’ll ask you a few questions that will tell us if you need a little extra professional support so we can make sure we provide it.
If you’re going on holiday or want a short break there’s no need to pause – gloji isn’t going anywhere! All your videos will unlock while you’re away and be there for you to catch up when you’re back.
This is your journey and it might surprise you to hear that we don’t think the number on the scales is the only way to measure success. As a guide, we recommend weighing yourself once a week so you can see your overall path. Try to use the same set of scales and weigh yourself at roughly the same time of day each week. Don’t forget, it’s normal for our weight to fluctuate depending on things like our diet, exercise and hormones. We’ll tell you about lots of other ways you can measure success, off the scales too!
Studies show that losing 5% of your total body weight can bring great health benefits. By making small, sustainable changes to what we eat and drink, how much we move and prioritising sleep, we’ll lose weight gradually and consistently. Every positive decision you make to eat well, move more and get quality sleep will move you closer to that 5% body weight loss.
Weight loss isn’t always a straight-forward journey and there could be lots of different reasons why it’s not happening as you’d like. Factors like stress, hormones and life events can all slow down weight loss. You can sign in to gloji and read Why aren’t the scales moving? to find out more.

You’ll still be able to sign in and watch the videos, read our articles and log your weight so you can carry on watching your progress over the coming weeks and months.
At the end of your time with gloji you should have everything you need to keep going, improving your health and wellbeing long into the future. To stay motivated, here’s a few of our top tips. Reflect back on your journey every so often to see what’s worked and what hasn’t. Think about all you’ve achieved and celebrate the wins to keep propelling you forwards. Keep setting yourself goals to aim for and plan for the future. If you know where you’re heading, and why, you’ll be much more likely to get there. You’ve got this!
Watching the gloji lose weight videos
We’ve designed the gloji lose weight programme with videos unlocking each week so you can take your time and really get the most out of what gloji offers. Once you’ve watched your week’s videos, that’s amazing! Spend some time until the next videos unlock putting into practise what you’ve learnt. Browse some of our articles, write some notes in your gloji journal or try your hand at some of our recipes.
You can always look back at videos you’ve watched, watch them again and see how you’ve answered the questions by heading to ‘my path’.
When you finish signing up to gloji, you’ll need to watch our first video before you can explore. It will tell you more about how gloji works and where you can find everything you need to make the most of your time with us.
You can toggle between part 1 and part 2 at the top of the screen for the step you are on. Or click part 2 from the home page. To move on to the part 2, you’ll need to have watched all the videos in part 1 and answered all the questions. To finish, press the green button at the top of the screen to move forward.

Some people can benefit from a little extra support to complete their gloji journey and for this we offer regular telephone appointments with our trained, friendly health mentors. When you sign up to use gloji, you’ll answer a few questions and we’ll let you know if this could be the path for you.
We know regular telephone appointments don’t fit everyone’s lifestyle. Don’t worry, you don’t have to choose a path with telephone appointments if you’d rather stick to digital-only. We’ll give you the option to choose either way.
No, not everyone needs the added support and depending where you live or work, they may not be available in your area. You can find out quickly and easily if they’re for you by signing up.
Once you’ve signed up to use gloji, created your account and watched our first video, you’ll then be asked to book your first health mentor telephone appointment.
You don’t need to do anything but it can be helpful to take a look around gloji. Read a few articles, watch the Step 1 videos and maybe even try a recipe or two.
During your first telephone appointment we’ll make sure you’re all set up with everything you need and answer any questions you might have. It’s a chance for us to get to know you, find out where you’re at and what you want to achieve over the next 12 weeks. We’ll talk through nutrition, alcohol, exercise, sleep and moos and help you set some goals for the week ahead. At the end of the call, you’ll book in your next appointment at a time that suits you.
You choose! We offer appointments Monday to Friday, from 8:20am to 7pm, depending on the day.
Your first appointment will be within your first 2 weeks with gloji, then we recommend follow-up appointments in your 2nd, 6th and 12th week so we can support you every step of the way.

The gloji smoke free programme
You will get access to telephone support, quit aids and a digital video programme and downloadable resources that will help you on your journey.
Each week you work your way through our digital programme that helps get you from pre quit to starting your new smoke free life. You will also check in with your gloji health mentor regularly to chat through any challenges.
The variety of smoking aids on offer differs depending on your location, but you’ll always be offered some form of quit aid. At each appointment, your mentor will find out how you’re getting on with your chosen medication and either request more on your behalf, or discuss alternatives. You’ll always have enough to support you between appointments but we don’t typically send out more than is needed so you don’t end up with medication you don’t want or need.
Take your medication as prescribed, attend your telephone appointments and listen to the advice of your gloji mentor, watch videos. Optional extras – use resources/ read articles.
When you sign up to gloji smoke free, we’ll send you a link to download ‘Eating with gloji smoke free’. It’s a free PDF containing lots of simple, tasty recipes plus plenty of tips to help you eat well while you quit and beyond. If you’re already signed up to gloji smoke free, you can sign in and head to Eating with gloji smoke free to download the PDF anytime you like.
Yes, throughout your quit journey you will be supported by our gloji health mentors over the phone. You will have regular appointments to check in on your progress and provide you with support.

Our gloji smoke free support appointments
Your appointments will be once a week. Sometimes we’ll arrange calls closer together depending on your needs and preferences.
At a day/time that suits you! We offer appointments Monday to Thursday 8am – 8pm and Friday 8am – 5pm.
If you can, have a think about what’s motivating you to quit, what changes could work for you and what support you’ve got in place to help you quit (ie friends and family who’ve got your back). Don’t worry, your mentor will help you think these things through together if you’re not sure.
Your mentor will have a chat with you to find out why you want to quit now and what’s motivating you. We’ll talk about what (if anything) you’ve tried before to quit, what’s worked and what hasn’t. We’ll help you set a quit date and talk through medication and quit aids, offering advice and guidance on the options available. Finally, we’ll make sure you’re all signed up to use gloji smoke free so you can watch our videos and read our articles, and we’ll book your next appointment at a time that suits you.
